Mindful Coaching

SAKURA Well Being

Do you want to find relief for your hectic mind? Do you have trouble sleeping, worry a lot or feel like you never switch off? Do you feel that stress at work is taking over your life? Or do you simply want to enjoy life more?

A mindful approach to life is one of subtle changes in our attitude to ourselves and our experiences. Through simple regular mindful meditation practice we can steadily build a deeper awareness of how we use our time, energies and inner resources. By slowing down and noticing more of our experiences we can increase our efficiency, creativity and enhance our capacity to recognise unhelpful thought patterns and start responding to life in more appropriate ways and find inner peace and happiness.

Please see the menu for the many benefits that Mindful practice can bring you.

One to One Mindful Coaching

One to one sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs and individually created to help you reach your own personal objectives, whether it is to improve your focus, attention and memory, reduce stress and anxiety, or to unblock your happiness.

Each session is for 1 hour and includes some of the principles and theories of mindfulness, and mindfulness meditation. Home practice will be given to suit you and what you hope to achieve in the form of short meditations, breathing exercises and self development work incorporating NLP, life coaching, cognitive behavioural therapy and EFT techniques. (please see below for more information on these other techniques.)

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a type of therapy that combines cognitive therapy, mindfulness and meditation.  It is about becoming more aware of how you think and behave in order to improve your life.

MBCT is a personal experience that you shape around you to deal with whatever you want to deal with. It is an 8 week course, but you may find that you want to spend longer on certain weeks. Over the course you will learn core skills. The primary focus is on methodically becoming more aware, moment by moment of physical sensations and thoughts and feelings as events. This process creates a new relationship between you and your thoughts and feelings. You find out how to see them as aspects of your experience that move through your awareness and may or may not be true at any one moment in time. Thoughts aren’t facts and you are not your thoughts.

Cognitive Therapy

This is a relatively short term form of psychotherapy based on the concept that the way we think about things affect how we feel emotionally. Cognitive therapy focuses on present thinking, behaviour and communication rather than on past experiences and is oriented towards problem solving, provide you with a set of tools designed to identify, challenge and modify maladaptive thoughts, beliefs and images.

Neuro Linguistic Programming

NLP uses perceptual, behavioural and communication techniques to make it easier for people to make positive changes to their thoughts and actions. It provides practical ways in which you can change the way you think, view past events and approach your life.

It shows you how to take control of your mind, and therefore your life. Unlike psychoanalysis, which focus’s on the “why”, NLP is  very practical and focuses on the “how”.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Tapping)

This is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. Tapping specific points on the body in a particular sequence can create a balance in your energy system and treat pain. The technique can be helpful for people with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, weight loss issues and phobias.

As with acupuncture, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points. Blocks or imbalance in the flow of energy can lead to ill health. Tapping on these meridian points restores the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues.
